The Line: Alabama Crimson Tide -9.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

The Alabama Crimson Tide and the Auburn Tigers face off on Saturday in Tuscaloosa for their SEC in state college football rivalry called The Iron Bowl.

The Alabama Crimson Tide are the number one ranked team in the nation but with another loss they could be on the outside looking in at the college football playoffs. Alabama is averaging 35 points and 484.8 yards per game and are led by QB Blake Sims who has completed 62.1percent of his passes with 20 touchdowns and four interceptions. T.J. Yeldon leads Bama in rushing with 758 yards and six touchdowns and Derrick Henry has 682 yards and seven touchdowns while Amari Cooper id the Tide’s leading receiver with 90 receptions and 11 touchdowns. The Alabama defense has been rock solid allowing 14.5 points and 283.1 yards per game with 15 takeaways and 27 sacks. Reggie Ragland has 83 tackles, Landon Collins has 75 tackles, and Xzavier Dickson has 7.0 sacks. Alabama is in a familiar spot but last year they lost to Auburn in a wild game.

Alabama vs. Auburn - 11/29/14 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Auburn Tigers are 8-3 this season and though they had their sights set o the college football playoffs, a brutal schedule caught up with them. The Auburn offense is averaging 35.1 points and 476.4 yards per game and are led by QB Nick Marshall who has completed 59.6 percent of his passes with 15 touchdowns and six interceptions and he has rushed for 731 yards and 11 touchdowns. Cameron Artic-Payne has rushed for 1,405 yards and 11 touchdowns and D’haquille Williams has 38 receptions and five touchdowns but he is questionable for this one. The Auburn defense allows 23.5 points and 375 yards with 21 takeaways and 19 sacks. Cassanova McKinzy has 80 tackles, Johnathan Ford has 75 tackles, and Kris Frost has 70 tackles. Auburn was able to move the ball on Alabama last season something most teams have struggled to do.

Alabama is 2-6-1 against the spread in their last nine home games, 3-11-1 against the spread in their last 15 games overall, and 3-8-1 against the spread following a win. Auburn is 13-4 against the spread following a win, 1-5 against the spread against a team with a winning record, and 1-5 against the spread in their last six games. The home team has covered the point spread in five of the last seven meetings of these two.

This is simply way too many points for this rivalry and last year Auburn was able to move the ball on Bama and they should be able to again this year. We saw Mississippi State even earn a cover against the Tide in a game that was never in doubt so look for Auburn to score enough points to cover the spread but not enough to win the game.
