The North Texas Mean Green head to the Alamodome to face instate rival the Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners.
It was a season of promise for the North Texas Mean Green but a lack of scoring punch has the team staring at a 4-7 record heading in to the season finale' at Texas-San Antonio. Most of their problems are away from home yet they did struggle to score in a 17-14 victory against visiting Florida International in week 13. This was a defensive struggle with the Mean Green leading in yardage 269-147 while holding a 3-2 edge in turnovers. Reggie Pegram was the offensive star with 114 rushing yards including a 54 yard scoring jaunt. UNT struggled to throw with Andrew McNulty completing 9-20 for 105 yards with a four yard TD to Marcus Smith but also tossing a pair of interceptions including a 71 yard pick six. The Golden Panthers also scored on a punt return so the defense pitched a shutout.

After beting Houston to begin the season followed by a very close loss to Arizona, Texas-San Antonio had visions of going to the postseason. Injuries at quarterback and subsequent offensive woes have the team looking towards 2015 as they head in to the final game of the season with a 3-8 record following a 45-7 defeat at Western Kentucky. UTSA were outgained 466-234 and couldn't stop Brandon Doughty and the Hilltoppers in the air with their 346 yards and five touchdowns. Quarterback Austin Robinson was the Roadrunners best option on the groung with 50 yards on ten touches but he struggled in the air with an 8-20 for 60 yards with an inteerception. Dalton Sturm came on late to go 3-3 with a 47 yard scoring strike to Kerry Thomas Jr. but the damage was already done.
The Mean Green are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 road games and are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game while going 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games after scoring less than 20 points in their previous game. For Texas-San Antonio the under is 5-0 in Roadrunners last 5 games following a S.U. loss and is 4-0 in Roadrunners last 4 games following a SU loss of more than 20 points while going 4-0 in Roadrunners last 4 games on grass. This is a game I would probably avoid but right now I lean to the points and will update by Friday...
