The Central Florida Knights conclude the season on the road at the East Carolina Pirates with the AAC title up for grabs.
The Central Florida Knights have the AAC crown in their sight with a win at East Carolina on Thursday. The Knights have won three in a row after a 16-0 decision at South Florida that kept their conference title hopes alive. This was the very definition of a defensive struggle with UCF winning that battle 295-200 although the Bulls won the turnover battle 3-0. The Knights were a bit balanced with Rannell Hall rushing for 65 yards on on ten totes with a 21 yard scoring run with Micah Reed needing 20 carries to total just 57 yards. Justin Holman wasn't explosive through the air but he was efficient with a 20-29 effort for 150 yards with a seven yard scoring toss to Breshad Perriman and an interception.

The East Carolina Pirates were looking like a team without direction after suffering consecutive defeats but they have won back to back contests after outscoring Tulsa 49-32. This team is hoping their confidence is back after rolling up 510 yards with a pass heavy attack while the defense gave up 388 yards and recorded a 37 yard pick six by Brandon Williams. Chris Hairston was the only runner of note with 91 yards on only six attampts. The Pirates were prolific in the air with Shane Carden completing 28-41 for 338 yards and four touchdowns and an interception with Cam Worthy and Justin Hardy combining for 186 yards on 14 receptions. It wasn't a perfect effort from the special teams which had blocked punt recovered in the endzone.
The over is 7-0 in Knights last 7 games after accumulating less than 170 yards passing in their previous game while the Knights are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 Thursday games with the over going 8-1 in Knights last 9 games after scoring less than 20 points in their previous game. For East Carolina the under is 4-0 in Pirates last 4 games on grass while the Pirates are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 Thursday games and are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games overall. Head to head Home team is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 meetings while the Knights are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings. Going on what I have seen from both teams Central Florida has been the more consistent squad and I like consistency...
