The Wisconsin Badgers and Auburn Tigers travel to Raymond James Stadium for the Outback Bowl.
The Auburn Tigers season could be divided in half with a 5-0 start followed by a 3-4 finish which is how it goes sometimes in the SEC. The Tigers did not dominate any one area defensively with with 389 yards and 26 points allowed but it was a little different on the offensive side of the football. The Tigers piled up 490 yards with the #12 rushing attack producing 258 yards which helped lead the way to a hefty 36 points. Dual threat QB Nick Marshall completed 60% of his throws for 2,315 yards with 18 scores and seven picks while checking in in as the second leading runner with 780 yards with Cameron Artis-Payne totaling 1,487 yards to lead the run. D'haquille Williams and Sammie Coates were tops among receivers with 730 yards and 717 yards.

The Wisconsin Badgers had another big season at 10-3 although many might find it hard to look past their 59-0 loss to Ohio State in the Big Ten championship. The Badgers used their #4 rushing attack to pound opponents for 314 yards and 35 points and the defense generally did the rest. Wisky gave up a scant 283 yards and 20 points and were not easy to to run on or throw on. Wisky didn't put the ball in the air all that much but were adequate with Joel Stave throwing for 1,229 yards with Tanner McEvoy tossing for another 700+ yards. Alex Erickson led Wisky in receiving yards with 734 while Sam Arneson added 354 yards but no other player recorded more then 200 yards. The reason is that Melvin Gordon usually had his hands on the ball in the ground attack. Gordon rumbled for 2,336 yards on 309 carries with 26 TD's with an amazing 7.7 yard average.
The Tigers are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game and are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall while going 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games on grass. For Wisconsin the over is 3-0-1 in Badgers last 4 games after allowing more than 450 total yards in their previous game with the Badgers going 0-4 ATS in their last 4 neutral site games while the over is 3-0-1 in Badgers last 4 games overall. If the Badgers have any sense of pride then they will look to make amends for their awful effort in the Big Ten title game which means grab the touchdown to me....
