The Minnesota Golden Gophers look to reach a bowl game for the fourth straight season under coach Jerry Kill. Mitch Leidner returns at quarterback after completing 51.5 percent of his passes for 1,798 yards, 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions. KJ Maye and Drew Wolitarsky combined for close to 400 receiving yards and one touchdown while Lincoln Plsek had five receptions. Rodrick Williams Jr. takes over at running back after rushing for six touchdowns his last two seasons. Defensively, De'Vondre Campbell returns at linebacker after racking up 75 tackles, Theiren Cockran had seven tackles for loss and Briean Boddy-Calhoun had five interceptions.
The Horned Frogs are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games and 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games overall. The Golden Gophers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games on fieldturf and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
Minnesota at home is a very under the radar and tough place to play. At night, things could get a little interesting. However, TCU has the best quarterback in the country and an offense that can drop 50 points at the drop of a hat. The Golden Gophers simply can't keep up. Not a huge fan of big chalk, but I like the Horned Frogs to cruise.
