The Line: Auburn Tigers -10.5 -- Over/Under: 58.5 See the Latest Odds
The Louisville Cardinals will kick off their season against The Auburn Tigers in the Georgia Dome.
Louisville lost a lot of players from their 9-4 team last season. Louisville only return 9 starters from that team. Louisville has yet to name a starting quarterback, there are 3 quarterbacks in contention to start Saturday. The Cardinals have lost the top 3 receivers from last seasons team and will need James Quick to live up to his hype this season. With the lack of experience at wide receiver and possibly quarterback expect the Cardinals to run the ball early on with Brandon Radcliff. The Cardinals defense has to replace 7 starters. Up front Sheldon Rankins and Pio Vatuvei are Louisville's biggest pass rushers. Louisville has added Devonte Fields who previously played at TCU and he should have a big impact on this defense. Louisville's biggest concern is that they don’t have an official starting quarterback.

Auburn enters this year with very high expectations of making the college football playoffs. The Tigers have made big improvements on their defense hiring Will Muschamp. Getting Carl Lawson back up front will be huge for their pass rushing. Louisville's team leadeing tacklers are all back as well including Jonathon Ford, Cassanova McKinzy and Kris Frost. Jeremy Johnson will take over as the new starting quarterback for Auburn. D’haquille Williams who caught 45 passes for 730 yards will be the go to man on offense. Roc Thomas and junior transfer Jovon Robinson will lead the Tigers in the backfield. Auburn has a very talented team this year.
Auburn is 5-2 against the spread in their last 7 neutral site games. Auburn is 0-4 against the spread in their last 4 non-conference games. Louisville is 5-2 against the spread in their last 7 games in September and the under is 9-2 in the Cardinals last 11 games in September.
There are too many question marks surrounding the Louisville offense and I think Auburn’s defense of problems will be fixed. Il think Auburn will win by two touchdowns.
