The Miami Hurricanes will look for their second win as they travel to FAU Stadium to take on the Florida Atlantic Owls this Friday.
Florida Atlantic is coming off a heartbreaking overtime loss last week to Tulsa. FAU lost 47-44 in overtime. Their offense played well throughout the game but the defense struggled to stop Tulsa. Quarterback Jaquez Johnson was 23/34 and passed for 263 yards and 2 touchdowns, he also added another 97 yards on the ground. Running back Greg Howell had a big game on the ground rushing for 138 yards and 2 touchdowns. Receiver Jenson Stoshak caught 7 passes for 114 yards and a touchdown. Defensive backs Cre’von LeBlanc and Herb Miller each had a interception. FAU’s defense let up 618 total yards and they will need to make some changes with Miami coming into town.

The Hurricanes are 10-2 against the spread in their last 12 games following a straight up win of 20 points or more. Miami is 1-4 against the spread in their last 5 Friday games. FAU is 4-0 against the spread in their last 4 non-conference games and 11-1 against the spread in their last 12 games in September.
FAU's offense looked good last week against Tulsa, but their defense did not look good. I think that Miami will be able to score at ease. I think Miami can make enough stops to cover. Il take the Hurricanes.
