The Bowling Green Falcons shoot for the upset of the Maryland Terrapins when they visit Byrd Stadium.
The Bowling Green Falcons opened 2015 with a 59-30 defeat at Tennessee with great offense unable to keep pace with the defense. The Volunteers mustered over 600 yards and the Falcons rolled up a none too shabby 557 yards. BGSU was reliant on the pass with Matt Johnson going 27-49 for 424 yards with a pair of scores receiver of choice Gehrig Dieter recording seven receptions for 133 yards and a touchdown while Ronnie Moore and Ryan Burbrink combined for 165 yards on nine catches. Fred Coppet was the only Falcons runner of note with 63 yards on 12 carries but two thinks were obvious to me; Tennessee was too physical offensively and Bowling Green needs to win when throwing for over 400 yards.

The Maryland Terrapins took awhile to get going against FCS Richmond but eventually buried the Spiders 50-21 in what turned out to be no contest. The Terps dominated the boxscore with Richmond limited to only 276 yards while gaining 479 yards themselves with William Likely returning a punt 67 yards. Perry Hills was adequate through the air with 138 yards with scoring tosses to Malcolm Culmer and Levern Jacobs but Maryland was a force on the ground. The Terrapins received 150 yards and a score from Brandon Ross while Ty Johnson and Wes Brown combined yards with each finding the end zone.
The over is 4-0 in Falcons last 4 games overall and is 4-0 in Falcons last 4 games in September while going 4-0 in Falcons last 4 non-conference games. The Terrapins are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a losing road record and the over is 3-0-1 in Terrapins last 4 non-conference games while the Terrapins are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a ATS win. I can see plenty points in this one and this should get in to the 70’s…
