The Line: Colorado State Rams +3.5 -- Over/Under: 60 See the Latest Odds

The Colorado Buffalos will travel to Hughes Stadium to take on their instate rival the Colorado State Rams this Saturday evening in College Football action.

The Colorado Buffalos (1-1, 0-0 PAC-12) had a nice rebound game after losing their season opener agianst the Hawaii Rainbows and defeated the UMass Minutemen 48-14. UMass hung around with the Buffaloes as it was 14-14 early in the 2nd quarter, however, the Buffaloes were able to outscore the Minutemen by a 34-0 margin the rest of the way. The Colorado offense had a big game as they were able to outgain the Minutemen by a 558-397 margin. The Buffaloes rushing attack was able to compile an incredible 390 yards and were led by Michael Adkins II (19 carries, 119 yds, 1 TD), Christian Powell (8 carries, 105 yds, 2 TD) and Phillip Lindsay (10 carries, 73 yds, 1 TD). QB Sefo Liufau (15-24, 168 yds, 1 TD) and WR Nelson Spruce (6 rec, 64 yds, 1 TD). The Colorado defense has been decent this year as they are holding opponents to 21.0 ppg on 349.5 yards.

Colorado State vs. Colorado - 9/19/15 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Colorado State Rams dropped to 1-1 (0-0 MW) on the season after losing a tough 23-20 contest in OT against the visiting Minnesota Golden Gophers. The Rams were able to get a clutch 37 yard FG to send this game to OT aver Minnesota took the lead with just 57 seconds left, however, the Rams fumbled on the opening play of OT that allowed the Golden Gophers to kick a 18 yard FG for the win. The Rams were outgained by Minnesota by a 413-314 margin and loss the turnover battle by a 4-2 margin. Leading the way for the Rams was Dalyn Dawkins who had 92 yards and a TD on 19 carries but did have the costly fumble in OT. Colorado State starting QB, Nick Stevens, struggled and was replaced by backup Coleman Key who played well completing 8 of 13 passes with 91 yards and a TD. The Rams have been solid on defense as they are holding opponents to 18.0 ppg while giving up 298 ypg.

The Buffaloes are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in September and 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games following a SU win of more than 20 points. The Rams are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 non-conference games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games on grass.

Colorado vs. Colorado State has been a solid instate rivalry over the past few years as the majority of the games have come down to the wire. I think Colorado is headed in the right direction with the program however, I do think the Colorado Rams defense will be able to keep this one close. As the Rams have home field advantage, I think this one will come down to the wire and that I'm going to want to have the points. Take Colorado State and the points in this one.
