The Oregon Ducks and the Georgia State Panthers face off on Saturday at Autzen Stadium in a college football matchup.
The Oregon Ducks couldn’t complete a late rally in East Lansing in week 2 as they fell to Michigan State. Oregon can still rebound and make the playoffs but they have no room for error. The Oregon offense is averaging 44.5 points and 581.5 yards per game playing at a fast pace. Oregon QB Vernon Adams Jr. has completed 64.1 percent of his passes for 555 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions and he has rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown. Royce Freeman leads the Ducks in rushing with 272 yards and four touchdowns and Bralon Addison is the leading receiver with 10 catches while Byron marshall and Charles Nelson have seven catches each. The Oregon defense is allowing 36.5 points and 469 yards per game with one sack and three interceptions. Arrion Sprins is the Ducks leading tackler with 20, Joe Walker has 19, and Chris Selsay has 12 tackles. Oregon can put up points in a hurry an they will be playing with something to prove after last week’s loss.

The Georgia State Panthers bounced back from their opening loss to Charlotte to edge New Mexico State in week two. The Georgia State offense is averaging 27 points and 487 yards per game but they have turned the ball over six times. GSU QB Nick Arbuckle has completed 66.3 percent of his passes with four touchdowns and two interceptions. Joseph Peterson leads GSU with 17 tackles, Bobby Baker has 13 tackles and two interceptions, and Tarris Batiste has 13 tackles. Georgia State takes a huge step up in competition for this one.
Oregon is 4-1 against the spread against the Sun Belt Conference, 10-2 against the spread in their last 12 games, and 5-2 against the spread in their last seven home games. Georgia State is 10-3 against the spread in their last 13 road games, 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games, and 6-2 against the spread in their last eight non-conference games.
This is a bundle of points but I can’t see it being even remotely close so while I won’t be playing it I will go with Oregon.
