The Virginia Cavaliers look to even their record when the Boise State Broncos visit Scott Stadium.

The Boise State Broncos rebounded from their loss to Brigham Young by thrashing FCS Idaho State 52-0 as a four touchdown favorite. The Broncos amassed nearly 600 yards and the Bengals were held to just under 300 yards with zero rushing attack. The win was costly with starter Ryan Finley hurting his ankle after throwing for 59 yards but Brett Rypien and Thomas Stuart gave the Broncos 126 and 69 passing yards respectively with Stuart throwing for a score. Thomas Sperbeck led the Boise receivers with seven catches for 99 yards but the ground game came through with Finley hurt. Jeremy McNichols and Cory Young each ran for 69 yards with McNichols scoring three times while Devan Demas added 65 yards on three touches.

Boise State Broncos vs. Virginia Cavaliers - 9/25/15 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

College football can be as unpredictable as the weather and the Virginia Cavaliers play says this the past two weeks. After taking Notre Dame down to the wire in week two’s loss the Cavs were taken down to the wire in a 35-29 victory versus FCS William & Mary. Both teams finished with around 370 yards but UVA was hurt by a safety and two giveaways but helped by Maurice Canady’s 74 yard punt return that gave his team a 35-20 lead. Matt Johns had a decent game under center for the Cavaliers on 17-23 for 263 yards and three touchdowns but two interceptions negated much of the good. Taquan Mizzell was the Cavs star receiver with five receptions for 123 yards and a score while the rushing attack consisted of a combined ten carry, 99 yard effort from Jordan Ellis and Mizzell.

The Broncos are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a losing home record and the over is 5-0 in Broncos last 5 road games while going 8-1 in Broncos last 9 games following a S.U. win. The Cavaliers are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 vs. MWC and the over is 5-1 in Cavaliers last 6 non-conference games while Virginia   are 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 games in September. I lean to Boise State but this looks like the proverbial trap with the Broncos new quarterback probably effecting the line as well…
