Bowling Green Falcons vs. Purdue Boilermakers - 9/26/15 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Line: Purdue Boilermakers +1 -- Over/Under: 79 See the Latest Odds

TV: Big Ten Network

The Bowling Green Falcons take their offense to Ross Ade Stadium to oppose the Purdue Boilermakers.

Fans of offensive football probably are in love with the Bowling Green Falcons although defensive coordinators probably not so much. The Falcons gave visiting Memphis all they could handle before falling 44-41 in week three action. The yardage edge belonged to BGSU 578-541 but the Tigers held the ball for almost 37 minutes. Quarterback Matt Johnson gave the Falcons a monster 443 passing yards and four touchdowns with Roger Lewis recording seven receptions for 261 yards and three scores. Bowling Green was productive when running as well with Johnson adding 41 yards and a TD on eleven totes while Travis Greene totaled 63 yards on another eleven touches. Of course the defense has struggled to get stops in three games thus far.

Bowling Green Falcons vs. Purdue Boilermakers - 9/26/15 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The Purdue Boilermakers probably gave away a win in a loss to Marshall but couldn’t bounce back against Virginia Tech in a 51-24 defeat where the Hokies pulled away with a 27-7 second half run. VT outgained Purdue 471-265 and forced three turnovers as Purdue never got their offense going with nine first downs and less then 22 minutes of possession. Quarterback Austin Appleby connected on 9-28 for 110 yards with a pair of interceptions as the Purdue passing attack never threatened. The Boilermakers did see some success on the ground behind Matt Jones who rumbled for 90 yards on six touches and a touchdown but that wasn’t enough to carry the offense with the defense having problems and the offense having turnover issues.

The Falcons are 0-5-1 ATS in their last 6 games after allowing more than 280 yards passing in their previous game and the over is 4-0 in Falcons last 4 games following a S.U. loss and   is 6-0 in Falcons last 6 games overall. The Boilermakers are 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 games after allowing more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game and  are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games after allowing more than 40 points in their previous game while Purdue  are 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall. I favor Bowling Green and hope their defense gets a few stops and Johnson continues to light up the air…
