The Mississippi Rebels pay a visit to the Florida Gators in week five SEC action Saturday.
Through a 4-0 start the Mississippi Rebels have been able to score at will although it was their defense that came up big in a 27-16 win versus Vanderbilt in week four. The Rebels still didn’t have trouble moving the chains with a 472-322 edge in yardage but did turn the ball over twice. Chad Kelly gave Ole Miss a strong air game with a 24-32 effort for 321 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions with Laquon Treadwell logging eight receptions for 135. The rushing attack was in good shape with Jaylen Walton totaling 133 yards on 21 carries with a three yards touchdown.

A strong second half propelled the Florida Gators to a 28-27 victory versus Tennessee and a 4-0 record. A 63 yard scoring strike from Will Grier to Antonio Callaway with 1:26 remaining was the difference in what had been an iffy UF offensive performance that totaled 392 yards. Grier finished with 283 yards and a pair of touchdowns and an interception with Callaway pacing the Gators receiving crew with five receptions for 112 yards. Brandon Powell and Jake McGee each caught five passes for 121 yards as Florida didn’t stretch the field through the air. UF received 102 yards and a pair of trips to the end zone from Kelvin Taylor on 19 touches but Florida generally put the ball in the air.
The under is 4-0 in Rebels last 4 games in October and is 9-1 in Rebels last 10 road games while the under is 8-1 in Rebels last 9 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. The under is 4-0 in Gators last 4 games after allowing more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game while Florida are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall and are 6-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record. The underdog is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings and the Rebels are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings. I think Mississippi does more damage on the scoreboard then Florida and I’ll lay the TD…
