The Ohio State Buckeyes pay a visit to Memorial Stadium to battle the Indiana Hoosiers Saturday.
People have some very high expectations of Ohio State who improved to 4-0 with a 38-12 rout of Western Michigan yet didn’t win ‘big’ enough. The Buckeyes defense shut down a very good Broncos attack with 338 yards allowed while recording a pick six while racking up over 500 yards themselves with plenty of balance. OSU received 288 passing yards from Cardale Jones and a pair of touchdowns and a pick with Michael Thomas leading the receiving corps with 80 yards on six catches and a score. Ezekiel Elliott paced the Buckeyes on the ground with 124 yards and a trip to the end zone on 16 carries while Curtis Samuel had 55 yards and a TD on two totes and caught two balls for 49 yards.

I guess we could say the Indiana Hoosiers 4-0 start is surprising but I’ll wait until I see them in conference play before making any judgments. The Hoosiers are coming off of a 31-24 victory at Wake Forest where IU built a 31-10 lead and hung on. The Hoosiers defense isn’t given a lot of praise but held the Demon Deacons to 363 yards and logged a 20 yard pick six Tony Fields. Nate Sudfeld gave the Hoosiers a quality passing attack with a 19-34 performance for 205 yards and a pair of touchdowns with Simmie Cobbs Jr. recording seven receptions for 75 yards a score. Indiana was productive on the ground with 168 yards and a touchdown on 33 carries as the offense did a little of everything.
The under is 4-0 in Buckeyes last 4 games on fieldturf and is is 4-0 in Buckeyes last 4 games following a S.U. win while the Buckeyes are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games after allowing less than 170 yards passing in their previous game. The Hoosiers are 4-0 ATS vs. a team with a winning record and the over is 3-0-1 in Hoosiers last 4 games on fieldturf while Indiana are 2-12 ATS in their last 14 games after allowing less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game. The underdog is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings and the Buckeyes are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 meetings while going 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings in Indiana. I think Indiana will have trouble getting stops and Ohio State won’t….
