The San Diego State Aztecs welcome the rival Fresno State Bulldogs to Qualcomm Stadium.
The Fresno State Bulldogs have not gotten their offense and defense on the same page the last three games and dropped each followed by a 49-23 defeat at San Jose State. The Bulldogs were outgained 543-247 and had the ball for just over 22 minutes. Quarterback Ford Childress completed 19-32 for 159 yards and two touchdowns along with a pick six on a 19-32 performance. KeeSean Johnson led the Bulldogs receiving corps with seven receptions for 90 yards and a score while Marteze Waller ran for 72 yards on 19 carries. The Bulldogs lost Childress for the season and Greenlee has discipline issues so the quarterback spot is clouded.

The San Diego Aztecs have been a bit underwhelming thus far and that was the case in a 37-21 loss to a Penn State squad that struggles to score. The Nittany Lions won the yardage battle 400-242 and to make matters worse the Aztecs fumbled four times and had one returned for a touchdown to place a winnable game out of reach. Quarterback Maxwell Smith had trouble connecting with receivers, going 10-29 for 141 yards and a score to Micah Holder who snagged four passes for 78 yards and the TD. Donnel Pumphrey couldn’t give SDSU much on the ground with 56 yards on 18 carries and a touchdown although he caught four passes for 51 yards.
The over is 7-0 in Bulldogs last 7 games after allowing more than 40 points in their previous game and is 8-1 in Bulldogs last 9 games following a S.U. loss while going 7-1 in Bulldogs last 8 games following a ATS loss. The Aztecs are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games overall and are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games on grass while the under is 5-0 in Aztecs last 5 games in October. The Bulldogs are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings. This game was hit with the ugly stick as I don’t know (or care) who is under center for Fresno because I don’t like either team…
