The Baylor Bears take their high powered offense to Memorial Stadium to face the Kansas Jayhawks.
The Baylor Bears have been lighting up the scoreboard on the way to a 4-0 record after blasting Texas Tech 63-35. In typical shootout fashion the Bears led 49-21 at the half before somebody decided to play a little defense in the second half. BU held a 680-636 edge in yards and forced four turnovers while the Red Raiders were whistled for 17 penalties. Quarterback Seth Russell gave Baylor 286 passing yards on a 15-23 effort with four touchdowns and an interception with Jay Lee catching three balls for 120 yards while Corey Coleman had seven catches for 110 yards and three scores. The Bears were potent on the ground behind Shock Linwood’s 221 yards and two TD’s with Russell adding 81 yards and two more scores.

In season’s past the Kansas Jayhawks have struggled to find the end zone and keep opponents out and that appears to be the trend once again in 2015. The Jayhawks fell to 0-4 following a 38-13 loss at Iowa State in week five as the Cyclones rolled up 512 yards split evenly between the run and pass. KU totaled 288 yards with one TD coming on Marcquis Roberts 83 yard pick six. Quarterback Ryan Willis completed 8-16 for 100 yards before Kansas gave Montell Cozart the ball and he responded with 150 yards and a 47 yard scoring strike to Tre’ Parmalee who had five catches for 81 yards. Ke’aun Kinner was the Jayhawks only source of running with 46 yards on eleven touches as the offense never moved the chains consistently.
The over is 5-0 in Bears last 5 games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game and is 4-0 in Bears last 4 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game while the Bears are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game. The under is 4-0 in Jayhawks last 4 games in October while the Jayhawks are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games after accumulating less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game and are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a SU loss of more than 20 points. The only thing I can say here is Baylor covers if they play a full 60 minutes….
