The Cincinnati Bearcats and BYU Cougars square off Friday night at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
The Cincinnati Bearcats look for a big road win that would give them their fourth victory of the season. Hayden Moore is completing 59.6 percent of his passes for 1,061 yards, seven touchdowns and five interceptions. Usual starter Gunner Kiel may be available for this game. Shaq Washington and Max Morrison have combined for 743 receiving yards and four touchdowns while Chris Moore has 13 receptions. The Cincinnati Bearcats ground game is averaging 201.4 yards per contest, and Tion Green leads the way with 383 yards and three touchdowns. The BYU Cougars look to put together three straight victories with a win here. Tanner Mangum is completing 62.5 percent of his passes for 1,416 yards, nine touchdowns and five interceptions. Mangum has five touchdown passes in his last two games. Devon Blackmon and Mitchell Juergens have combined for 683 receiving yards and two touchdowns while Mitch Mathews has 30 receptions. The BYU Cougars ground game is averaging 126 yards per contest, and Adam Hiné leads the way with 312 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, BYU is allowing 26.3 points and 400.7 yards per game. Michael Wadsworth leads the Cougars with 44 tackles, Harvey Langi has four sacks and Kai Nacua has four interceptions. Michael Davis is questionable.
The Bearcats are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games in October and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games. The Cougars are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games in October and 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games following a ATS loss.
Regardless if Kiel plays or not, I like the Bearcats and the points here. BYU has been up-and-down as of late and can go stretches without putting points on the board. The Bearcats are a dangerous offensive team and should be able to put a scare in the Cougars on the road.
