Florida State will look to stay perfect on the season as they host ACC opponent Louisville this weekend.
Florida State is coming off of their best win of the season, a 29-24 victory over the Miami Hurricanes. Quarterback Everett Golson had played some of his best football of the season completing 25 of his 33 passes for 1 touchdown. Running back Dalvin Cook continued his tremendous year carrying the ball 22 times for 222 yards and 2 touchdowns despite battling a hamstring injury. Cook also added 3 catches for 47 yards and a touchdown. Kermit Whitfield led the Seminoles in receiving catching 9 passes for 95 yards. FSU’s defense held the Hurricanes to only 20 yards rushing but allowed over 400 through the air. If their secondary can improve this will be a hard team to beat. FSU will look to continue their streak against Louisville next weekend.

The Louisville Cardinals are coming off of a bye but previously defeated NC State 20-13 on the road. Quarterback Lamar Jackson went 10/27 for 103 yards and 1 touchdown. Jackson also added 19 carries for 121 yards and a touchdown. Running back Brandon Radcliff recorded 12 carries for only 37 yards. James Quick led the Cardinals with 4 catches for 44 yards. Wide Receiver Devonte Peete also added 2 catches for 23 yards and a touchdown. Louisville will be prepared for the Seminoles coming off a bye week and could keep this game interesting.
The Louisville Cardinals are 4-1 against the spread in their last 5 games overall. Louisville is 4-1 against the spread in their last 5 games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game. The Florida State Seminoles are 1-6 against the spread in their last 7 home games. The Seminoles are 1-4 against the spread in their last 5 conference games.
Louisville has been struggling as of late and even though Florida State has had a tough time covering the spread, they are easily the better team here. I expect Florida State to keep rolling an beat Louisville easily. Take FSU to cover at home.
