The Oklahoma Sooners travel to the Kansas State Wildcats for some Big 12 action Saturday.
The Oklahoma Sooners never found their offense or the end zone often in a 24-17 defeat at Texas to fall to 4-1 on the year. The Longhorns never trailed and led in yardage 368-278 with the Sooners unable to move the ball at all on the ground. The OU rushing attack was Samaje Perine gaining 36 yards on ten carries with a one yard scoring plunge. Quarterback Baker Mayfield did give Oklahoma a viable passing threat with 211 yards and a touchdown on a 20-28 performance with Sterling Shepard snagging a game high six catches for 95 yards. The Longhorns had been struggling but their 313 rushing yards and nearly 5 ½ yard average carried the offense.

The Kansas State Wildcats kicked of the year by winning three straight but have suffered consecutive defeats following a 52-45 loss to visiting Texas Christian. This was especially disappointing with the Wildcats squandering a 35-17 halftime lead with the Horned Frogs scoring with just 1:10 remaining for the win. The Horned Frogs won the yardage battle 543-385 and had plenty of ability to both run and throw while KSU struggled to throw. Quarterback Joe Hubener completed only 13-33 for 157 yards and an interception with Deante Burton and Kyle Klein combining for nine receptions for 122 yards. Hubener was much more effective with his legs with 111 yards and four touchdowns on 26 totes while Charles Jones added 75 yards and a pair of TD’s on 13 touches.
The over is 7-1 in Sooners last 8 games following a S.U. loss and is 6-1 in Sooners last 7 games in October while going 5-1-1 in Sooners last 7 games on fieldturf. The over is 4-0 in Wildcats last 4 games after allowing more than 280 yards passing in their previous game and the Wildcats are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games after allowing more than 40 points in their previous game while the over is 7-1 in Wildcats last 8 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. The road team is 6-0 ATS in their last 6 meetings and the over is 6-1 in the last 7 meeting and is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in Kansas State. I think this is a bad spot fo Kansas State but something draws them to me when getting points…
