The Temple Owls look to stay perfect when the Central Florida Knights visit Lincoln Financial Field.
The Central Florida Knights have generally struggled to put points on the scoreboard and prevent opponents from doing the same and that trend continued in a 40-13 home loss to Connecticut in week six. The Huskies were up 23-3 at the half on the way to 433 yards while the Knights were held to 315 yards and four turnovers with 22 minutes of possession. With CJ Jones giving the UCF rushing attack 44 yards on seven carries the offense turned to the air. Quarterback Justin Holman completed 27-50 for 255 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions with Michael Willett and Nick Patti catching eleven balls for 123 yards but that wasn’t enough with the mistakes.

The Temple Owls and their defense get plenty of headlines but the offense got in on the action in week six with a 49-10 rout of visiting Tulane. The Owls outgained the Green Wave 345-110 and intercepted two passes including Sean Chandler’s 22 yard pick six. This wasn’t a great offensive effort from the Owls who fumbled six times and lost two and averaged less then three yards per rush. The passing of PJ Walker was the positive for Temple with Walker connecting on 11-15 for 183 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Robby Anderson paced the Owls receivers with 73 yards on four catches and a touchdown while Kip Patton had one reception for 43 yards.
The over is 4-0 in Knights last 4 vs. a team with a winning record and the Knights are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games on grass while going 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Owls are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game and the under is 3-0-1 in Owls last 4 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game while the Owls are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall. I don’t like laying the big number but for me it’s Temple or walk away…
