The Temple Owls put their perfect record on the line when they pay a visit to the East Carolina Pirates.
The Temple Owls stayed perfect on the season with a 30-16 victory against visiting Central Florida that was touch and go through three quarters where the Knights led 16-14 before a 16-0 4th quarter gave the Owls the win. Even though this game was tight until the 4th the Owls owned a 363-134 yardage edge but hurt themselves with four turnovers including a pick six. Temple was dominant on the ground with Jahad Thomas rumbling for 199 yards and three touchdowns on 31 carries. The Owls passing attack wasn’t as effective with PJ Walker completing 15-27 for 149 yards and the pick six with Robby Anderson and Ventell Bryant combining for nine catches for 82 yards with Bryant scoring.

The East Carolina Pirates survived the big offense of Tulsa with a 30-17 win as a two touchdown favorite. The Golden Hurricane led 463-382 in yardage but Josh Hawkins had a 100 yard pick six to set the tone for the game. The ECU passing attack was adequate with James Summers and Blake Kemp combining 205 yards on 19-28 with Summers throwing for a touchdown and interception. Davon Grayson was the top Pirates receiver with four receptions for 84 yards while Chris Hairston led the rushing attack with 82 yards on 18 carries followed by Summers added 44 yards and a touchdown. The Pirates probably game up short in the boxscore but won on the scoreboard.
The under is 6-0-1 in Owls last 7 games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game and is 5-1 in Owls last 6 games overall while the over is 4-1 in Owls last 5 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. The over is 4-0 in Pirates last 4 games following a S.U. win and is 5-0 in Pirates last 5 games following a ATS win while going 4-0 in Pirates last 4 conference games. I’m a Temple fan but I think the Pirates are a handful…
