The Ohio State Buckeyes head to the east coast to take on the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
The Ohio State Buckeyes have endured their share of criticism despite being unbeaten because they are not rolling over teams. The Buckeyes finally appeased the critics with a 38-10 pounding of visiting Penn State in week seven. OSU gave up just 315 yards and 14 first downs with 429 yards and 25 first downs of their own. Cardale Jones threw for 84 yards on 9-15 but JT Barrett gave the Buckeyes passing attack a huge boost with 30 yards on a 4-4 effort with touchdowns to Michael Thomas and Braxton Miller. Ohio State did most of their damage on the ground with Ezekiel Elliott rambling for 153 yards on 27 carries and a TD while Barrett totaled 102 yards on eleven totes with two scores.

The Rutgers Scarlet Knights are a tough team to nail down at times as they can play well or struggle without notice. The Scarlet Knights improved to 3-3 with a 55-52 victory at Indiana behind a 22-0 4th quarter which included a 26 yard fumble return by Kemoko Turay. Defense was optional as the Hoosiers led 627-596 in yards but also turned the ball over three times.RU enjoyed a bit more balance with quarterback Chris Laviano throwing for 386 yards and three touchdowns on 28-42 with Leonte Caroo hauling in seven balls for 157 yards and all three scores. Robert Martin gave Rutgers a solid presence on the ground with 124 yards on 17 carries with three trips to the end zone.
The under is 4-0 in Buckeyes last 4 games after allowing less than 170 yards passing in their previous game and is 6-1 in Buckeyes last 7 games following a S.U. win while going 6-1 in Buckeyes last 7 games on fieldturf. The over is 5-1 in Scarlet Knights last 6 games in Octobe and is 4-1 in Scarlet Knights last 5 games after allowing more than 450 total yards in their previous game while the under is 7-2 in Scarlet Knights last 9 games after allowing more than 40 points in their previous game. I think Ohio State should be able to do plenty of damage on the scoreboard and control the Rutgers offense at the same time…
