The Idaho Vandals look for another win when they visit New Mexico State in week nine.
Winning streaks are not something we have seen from Idaho for a number of years but the Vandals have a shot at three in a row following a 27-13 win versus visiting Louisiana-Monroe where a 14-3 second half run put this in the win column. Idaho won the yardage battle 489-243 which enabled them to get away with three turnovers. Quarterback Matt Linehan gave the Vandals a dominant passing attack with 315 yards and three touchdowns and an interception on 23-39 with Dezmon Epps snagging nine balls for 98 yards. Elijhaa Penny was dominant on the ground as well with 184 yards on 36 carries to give the Vandals plenty of options.

I looked at the New Mexico State Aggies schedule before the season began and saw a few legitimate opportunities to win. I thought rebuilding Troy in week eight was a possible win in week eight but the Trojans looked like a powerhouse in a 52-7 victory that was never close. Troy led 45-7 at the half on the way to 482 yards while the Aggies managed 392 yards and lost a pair of fumbles. Quarterback Andrew Allen couldn’t get NMSU moving in the air with 161 yards with a touchdown on 13-33. Larry Rose III was the Aggies offensive star with 180 rushing yards on 21 touches while catching a team high five balls for 67 yards and the lone score.
The Vandals are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games in October and the under is 5-0 in Vandals last 5 games following a ATS win while the Vandals are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a losing home record. The over is 4-0 in Aggies last 4 conference games and is 5-0 in Aggies last 5 games following a ATS loss while the Aggies are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. The under is 6-1 in the last 7 meetings and the Vandals are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings while the underdog is 10-4 ATS in their last 14 meetings. Idaho as road faves? Scary but they are not bad…
