It’s no secret that the North Texas Mean Green are rebuilding but there are questions as to how long the rebuild will take. The Mean Green finally got in to the win column with a 30-23 victory against Texas-San Antonio in week nine. A 16-6 run in the 4th was the difference even though the Roadrunners won the yardage battle easily 475-371. Dual threat quarterback DaMarcus Smith saved the Mean Green with 104 passing yards on 11-22 and 137 yards and a score on the ground. Jeffrey Wilson was also a strong runner with 127 yards on 22 touches and another touchdown while Carlos Harris led the receiving corps with six receptions for 72 yards.

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs have vast potential on both sides of the ball which is why they were considered a top threat in the CUSA. The Bulldogs were dominant in a 42-17 victory at Rice where they were dominant in all areas in back to back wins. A 28-7 lead at the half did the trick as La Tech owned the yardage edge 455-281 behind a big passing attack. Quarterback Jeff Driskel gave the Bulldogs 320 yards in the air with four touchdowns on 17-26 with Trent Taylor grabbing five balls for 142 yards and a pair of scores while Carlos Henderson followed with six receptions for 115 yards and two TD’s. Kenneth Dixon was the Bulldogs only runner of consequence with 92 yards and two touchdowns on 19 touches.
The over is 4-0 in Mean Green last 4 games following a S.U. win and the Mean Green are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a S.U. win while going 1-9 ATS in their last 10 road games. The Bulldogs are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games vs. a team with a losing road record and the under is 3-0-1 in Bulldogs last 4 home games vs. a team with a losing road record while going 4-0 in Bulldogs last 4 games on fieldturf. I hate the chalk but if the Bulldogs play as capable I’ll back their potential…
