The Navy Midshipmen take their option to the Liberty Bowl to take the field with the Memphis Tigers.
The Navy Midshipmen have their option working and their defense has been plenty good enough to forge a 6-1 record after rallying past a very stubborn South Florida 29-17. A 13-0 run in the 4th quarter did the trick despite a boxscore that said this shouldn’t have been close. The Midshipmen led 444-270 in yardage and had the ball for over 39 minutes while racking up over 4oo rushing yards. Quarterback Keenan Reynolds didn’t give the Middies much through the air on 3-9 for 16 yards with Jamir Tillman catching all three balls. The Midshipmen were monsters on the ground with the trio of Chris Swain, Reynolds and Dishan Romine combining for 363 yards and three touchdowns.
