The Maryland Terrapins and Michigan State Spartans square off Saturday at Spartan Stadium.

USA TODAY Sports

The Michigan State Spartans look to bounce back from a controversial loss to Nebraska. Connor Cook is completing 58.1 percent of his passes for 2,405 yards, 21 touchdowns and three interceptions. Cook has eight touchdown passes in his last two games. Aaron Burbridge and Macgarrett Kings Jr. have combined for 1,396 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns while R.J. Shelton has 31 receptions. The Michigan State Spartans ground game is averaging 153.6 yards per contest, and LJ Scott leads the way with 507 yards and nine touchdowns. Defensively, Michigan State is allowing 24 points and 372.3 yards per game. Riley Bullough leads the Spartans with 72 tackles, Montae Nicholson has two interceptions and Shilique Calhoun has eight sacks.

The Terrapins are 4-11 ATS in their last 15 games following a ATS win and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 conference games. The Spartans are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a S.U. loss.

While most are looking at the BS loss last week, I'm looking at the fact Michigan State let Nebraska hang around to begin with. The Spartans don't blow teams out with their old school style of play. Also, Maryland just hung around with Wisconsin and nearly beat Penn State. Give the Terps some credit. I'm taking the points here.
