USA TODAY Sports

The North Texas Mean Green are just 1-8 this season and they face one of their toughest tests of the season in this game. The North Texas offense is averaging 17.6 points 345.9 yards per game and they have turned the ball over 20 times. Mean Green QB DaMarcus Smith has completed 47.1 percent of his passes with eight touchdowns and four interceptions and he has rushed for 355 yards. Jeffrey Wilson leads UNT in rushing with 683 yards and one touchdown and Carlos Harris is the top receiver with 53 catches and seven touchdowns. The North Texas defense has been horrible allowing 45.6 points and 541.3 yards per game with two interceptions, eight fumble recoveries, and 13 sacks. Kishawn McClain leads North Texas with 83 tackles, James Gray has 80 tackles, and Anthony Wallace has 59 tackles. North Texas can only hope this season has been a learning experience.

Tennessee is 4-1 against the spread in their last five non-SEC games, 6-2 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the point spread, and 2-7 against the spread against a team with a losing record. North Texas is 4-1 against the spread against the SEC, 5-12 against the spread in their last 17 games, and 2-5 against the spread against a team with a winning record.

Tennessee is a massive favorite here but UNT is just that bad and I expect Tennessee to win by at least 50, probably much more.
