The Texas State Bobcats await the visit of the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks on Thursday night.
When you look at the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks you see a team simply hasn’t scored enough points or gotten enough stops to win consistently. The Warhawks are riding an eight game slide following a 59-21 loss to visiting Arkansas State in week eleven. A 24-0 second half run by the Red Wolves broke open a reasonably close game but ASU held the Warhawks to 252 yards and forced five turnovers. Quarterback Earnest Carrington gave UL Monroe little in the air going 5-19 for 75 yards and a touchdown with a pick six. Marcus Green was the top receiving target with four catches for 56 yards and a score but the ground was the only place the Warhawks had success with Ben Luckett totaling 149 yards and a TD on 18 carries.

It looks like the Texas State Bobcats will be finishing out the season with an eye towards 2016. Not much has gone favorably for the Bobcats who have dropped three in a row following a 41-19 loss to visiting Georgia State who has shown some occasional spunk. The Panthers held a 643-453 edge in yards but kept the Bobcats from scoring more often then no. Quarterback Tyler Jones completed 29-51 for 267 yards and a touchdown and a pair of interceptions with Brandon Smith, CJ Best and Ryan Carden combining for 18 receptions for 193 yards. Robert Lowe led Texas State on the ground with 88 yards and a TD with Jones adding 62 yards.
The over is 4-0 in Warhawks last 4 games after allowing more than 280 yards passing in their previous game and the under is 7-1 in Warhawks last 8 games after allowing more than 40 points in their previous game while the Warhawks are 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 games after allowing more than 40 points in their previous game. The under is 4-0 in Bobcats last 4 games following a SU loss of more than 20 points and is 4-0 in Bobcats last 4 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game while the Bobcats are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games after allowing more than 280 yards passing in their previous game. I’ll take a shot with the points but I’ll wait for more…
