The Brigham Young Cougars look to get back in the win column against the visiting Fresno State Bulldogs.
The Fresno State Bulldogs have generally struggled on both sides of the ball but those trends were reversed in a 42-14 victory at Hawaii in week eleven. This one was over with the Bulldogs up 28-7 after 30 minutes. Both squads finished with around 450 yards but the Warriors shot themselves in the foot with four giveaways. The Bulldogs have had their share of quarterback issues but not here as Zach Greenlee went 20-35 for 285 yards and six touchdowns. Jamire Jordan and Chad Olsen combined for 155 yards in eight catches with a TD each while Da’Mari Scott caught two passes for 58 yards with both going for scores. Dustin Garrison was the only Fresno State runner of note with 66 yards on 12 touches.

The Brigham Young Cougars had won five straight as they traveled to Missouri to face a Tigers club neck deep in controversy so they go and lay an egg in a 20-16 defeat against a team that can’t score. Missouri was the offensive giant here with a 434-290 yardage edge wit both committing a pair of turnovers. Quarterback Tanner Mangum was the Cougars best source of offense with 244 passing yards and a touchdown on 23-41 with Nick Kurtz and Francis Bernard combining for 123 yards on seven catches with Bernard scoring. Algernon Brown was the BYU rushing attack with 42 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.
The Bulldogs are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a ATS win while going 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games. The under is 4-0 in Cougars last 4 games after scoring less than 20 points in their previous game and is 5-0 in Cougars last 5 games following a ATS loss while the Cougars are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 vs. MWC. BYU should have the edge here but I don’t trust them and will sit this out…
