The Line: Michigan State Spartans -10.5 -- Over/Under: 46.5 See the Latest Odds

The Penn State Nittany Lions and Michigan State Spartans play Saturday at Spartan Stadium for the Land Grant Trophy.

The Penn State Nittany Lions look for their first road victory in hopes of improving the quality of their bowl game. Christian Hackenberg is completing 52.9 percent of his passes for 2,129 yards, 14 touchdowns and three interceptions. Hackenberg has three touchdown passes in his last three games. Chris Godwin and DaeSean Hamilton have combined for 1,290 receiving yards and eight touchdowns while Saeed Blacknall has six receptions. The Penn State Nittany Lions ground game is averaging 136.5 yards per contest, and Saquon Barkley leads the way with 904 yards and seven touchdowns. Defensively, Penn State is allowing 18.6 points and 314.1 yards per game. Jason Cabinda leads the Nittany Lions with 79 tackles, Grant Haley has two interceptions and Carl Nassib has 15.5 sacks. Adam Breneman, Andrew Nelson and Christian Campbell are questionable.

Michigan State vs. Penn State - 11/28/15 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Michigan State Spartans look to remain unbeaten at home in hopes of staying in the CFB playoff race. Connor Cook is completing 56.3 percent of his passes for 2,482 yards, 21 touchdowns and four interceptions. Cook is questionable with a shoulder injury. Aaron Burbridge and Macgarrett Kings Jr. have combined for 1,541 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns while R.J. Shelton has 34 receptions. The Michigan State Spartans ground game is averaging 157 yards per contest, and LJ Scott leads the way with 577 yards and nine touchdowns. Defensively, Michigan State is allowing 21.5 points and 342.9 yards per game. Riley Bullough leads the Spartans with 83 tackles, Montae Nicholson has three interceptions and Shilique Calhoun has 8.5 sacks.

The Nittany Lions are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 conference games and 0-7-1 ATS in their last 8 road games. The Spartans are 7-2 ATS vs. a team with a winning record and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 conference games. The road team is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 meetings.

Penn State can't protect the quarterback and that's bad news against one of the top defenses in the country. I expect the Spartans to eat the Nittany Lions food in this game and win by at least two touchdowns. Penn State just isn't balanced enough to keep this game close.
