The New Mexico Lobos will look to lock up a Bowl berth when the Air Force Falcons visit.
The red hot Air Force Falcons will be going to a Bowl thanks to a five game winning streak and an 8-3 record for a team that was supposed to take a step back. The Falcons come off an impressive 37-30 win at Boise State in a game they led 34-13. AFA did their damage on over 600 yards despite four turnovers while the generally potent Broncos were held to 378 yards. Quarterback Karson Roberts completed 9-16 for 279 yards and two touchdowns with three interceptions with Garrett Griffin leading the Falcons with three catches for 107 yards and a score. The Air Force did plenty of running as well with Jacobi Owens totaling 145 yards on 20 carries with Timothy McvVey and Roberts combining for 142 yards and a TD each.

Winning and Bowls are not usually mentioned in the same sentence with the New Mexico Lobos but at 6-5 another win will change that. The Lobos saw their shot at a three game winning streak go by the wayside in a 28-21 defeat at; the hands of visiting Colorado State in week 12. The Rams logged 485 yards with the ability to both run and throw while the run first Lobos were held to 326 yards and threw three picks. There is a reason UNM doesn’t throw often with quarterback Lamar Jordan completing 4-9 for 59 yards and three interceptions. Jordan paced New Mexico on the ground with 97 yards and a TD on 23 totes with Teriyon Gipson and Jhurell Pressley adding 75 yards each with Pressley scoring twice.
The Falcons are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 conference games and are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games in November while going 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The under is 4-0 in Lobos last 4 games overall and is 4-0 in Lobos last 4 conference games while going in Lobos last 7 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. The road team is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 meetings and the Falcons are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings in New Mexico while going 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings. I don’t know if the Lobos win but I expect an A+ effort with Bowl in the balance…
