The West Virginia Mountaineers and Kansas State Wildcats face off Saturday afternoon at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

The West Virginia Mountaineers hope to win their fifth straight game and lockup a nice bowl. Skyler Howard is completing 56.1 percent of his passes for 2,332 yards, 20 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Howard has four touchdown passes in his last three games. Shelton Gibson and Daikiel Shorts Jr. have combined for 1,079 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns while Jovon Durante has 21 receptions. The West Virginia Mountaineers ground game is averaging 241.5 yards per contest, and Wendell Smallwood leads the way with 1,306 yards and eight touchdowns. Defensively, West Virginia is allowing 23.1 points and 393.6 yards per game. USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas State Wildcats need a win to become bowl eligible for a sixth straight season. Joe Hubener is completing 49 percent of his passes for 1,752 yards, nine touchdowns and seven interceptions. Hubener has three touchdown passes in his last three games. Kody Cook and Deante Burton have combined for 739 receiving yards and six touchdowns while Dominique Heath has 27 receptions. The Kansas State Wildcats ground game is averaging 170.2 yards per contest, and Charles Jones leads the way with 612 yards and five touchdowns. Defensively, Kansas State is allowing 31 points and 442 yards per game. Elijah Lee leads the Wildcats with 70 tackles, Jordan Willis has 7.5 sacks and Morgan Burns has nine pass deflections.

The Mountaineers are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games in December and 4-0 ATS vs. a team with a losing record. The Wildcats are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win and 19-6-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.

West Virginia has been a different team on the road this season, as three of its four losses have come on the road and the Mountaineers only victory away from home came against the garbage Kansas Jayhawks. Kansas State has put back-to-back wins together and will be playing hard on senior day for Bill Snyder to keep his bowl streak intact. I like the points here, but I give the Wildcats a chance to win outright given the situation.
