USA TODAY Sports
The South Alabama Jaguars have dropped consecutive contests which has eliminated them from postseason contention. The Jaguars struggled in most areas of a 55-17 loss to Georgia Southern in which they were outgained 542-136 which made their two turnovers more painful. Dallas Davis was 2-7 and tossed a pick while Cody Clements gave USA 64 passing yards and an interception on 5-12. Gerald Everett caught one pass for 35 yards and Tyreis Thomas was South Alabama’s rushing attack with 37 yards on eight touches with a touchdown in an otherwise sluggish offensive performance.
The Mountaineers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games and are 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 games after allowing less than 275 total yards in their previous game while going 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS loss. The Jaguars are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games after allowing less than 170 yards passing in their previous game and are 0-7 ATS vs. a team with a winning record while the over is 5-0-1 in Jaguars last 6 home games. I’ll back the Mountaineers and hope they perform for 60 minutes…
