The Indiana Hoosiers were 6-6 this season and finished fifth in the Big Ten East Division. The Indiana offense is averaging 36 points per game with 285.9 passing yards and 204.8 rushing yards. Nate Sudfeld is the quarterback for Indiana completing 60.7% of his passes for 3184 yards, 24 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. Jordan Howard is the leading rusher for Indiana with 1213 yards and 9 touchdowns. Howard is questionable with an injury, so his backup is Devine Redding who has 785 yards and 8 touchdowns. Simmie Cobbs Jr. has 914 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns for Indiana. Ricky Jones has 817 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns for the Hoosiers. The Indiana defense is giving up 37.1 points per game with 326.3 passing yards per game and 180.9 rushing yards. Marcus Oliver has 102 tackles, Nick Mangieri has 9 sacks, and Jonathon Crawford has 3 interceptions for Indiana. Indiana is +8 in turnover margin this season.
Indiana’s defense has really let them down this season, giving up at least 35 points in 7 of their games. If Indiana wants to win this game, their defense has to give them a chance by getting a few stops and turnovers. Jordan Howard is also a big x-factor in this game for Indiana. If Howard is healthy, I think Indiana will win this game easily, but he has battled injuries all year so it will be interesting to see if he plays. Duke has been a little bit of let down this season, and their defense has also let them down in games this year. Duke also has to stay away from turnovers, which have really hurt the Blue Devils this season. This game may be a shootout, in which I would favor Indiana, who has the better offense. I am picking Indiana in this game.
