The Texas Longhorns look to build on their upset victory over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Jon Burt and Jerrod Heard have combined for 184 receiving yards and one touchdown while Jake Oliver has three receptions. The Miners are 6-13 ATS in their last 19 road games and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Longhorns are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win.
The only reason I'm worried about backing the Longhorns and the big chalk is the fact they played Sunday night and this is a letdown game after just beating a top-10 Notre Dame squad. Waking up for little UTEP won't be as easy. However, the Miners have been waxed over the years when playing teams from a power 5 conference. This game will get ugly if the Longhorns show up for it.
Don't love the line, but the Longhorns can cover it.
