The Toledo Rockets upped their record to 2-0 with a one sided 45-3 victory versus visiting Maine as a 31 point favorite. The Rockets amassed 516 yards and limited the Black Bears to 235 yards and 12 first downs. Toledo did what they wanted with quarterback Logan Woodside going 13-25 for 329 yards, four touchdowns and an interception. Corey Jones snagged three balls for 100 yards and an 85 yard TD, while Jon’Vea Johnson and Cody Thompson combined for 174 yards and a score each to give Toledo some big plays in the air. The trio of Kareem Hunt, Art Thompkins and Damion Jones-Moore combined for 172 yards on 28 touches to give the Rockets punch on the ground.
The Bulldogs are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games in September while going 0-4 ATS in their last 4 non-conference games. The Rockets are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win of more than 20 points and are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games after allowing less than 275 total yards in their previous game while going 6-0-1 ATS in their last 7 games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game. Right now I think this number can be cover by the Bulldogs but I’m going to watch it…
