The high powered Louisville Cardinals go on the road to face the tough defense of the Clemson Tigers.
Without a doubt, the Louisville Cardinals have been one of the most impressive teams in the game thus far. The Cardinals destroyed Marshall 59-28 as a 31 point favorite to improve to 4-0 behind a 600-207 yardage edge and 33 first downs. The Cardinals dominated everywhere with quarterback Lamar Jackson connecting on 24-44 for 417 yards and five touchdowns with an interception. James Quick, Jamari Staples and Cole Hikutini were the Ville’s top receiving targets with 13 catches for 280 yards and three scores. The Cardinals did some damage on the ground as well with Brandon Radcliff totaling 131 yards on 19 carries and a TD while Jackson and Malik Williams combined for 116 yards with Jackson scoring twice.

The Clemson Tigers were supposed to have their hands full with the Georgia Tech option but at the final gun it was the Yellow Jackets staring at a 26-7 defeat with just 124 yards of offense so moving the chains didn’t happen. Clemson logged 442 yards with most coming through the air with Deshaun Watson connecting on 32-48 for 304 yards and a pair of touchdowns and an interception with favorite target Ray-Ray McCloud hauling down eight balls for 101 yards. The Tigers rushing attack was disappointing with Wayne Gallman’s 59 yards and a touchdown on 17 touches leading the way although it turned out not to be a factor with Georgia Tech unable to move the ball.
The over is 4-0 in Cardinals last 4 games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game and the Cardinals are 5-0-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall while the over is 4-0 in Cardinals last 4 games following a straight up win of more than 20 points. The over is 4-0 in Tigers last 4 games in October and the under is 4-0 in Tigers last 4 games overall while going 4-0 in Tigers last 4 games on grass. Betting against Louisville seems stupid but Clemson doesn’t lose at home. Still, I’ll probably just watch…
