The Ohio State Buckeyes look to keep the ball rolling and have had two weeks to prepare for this contest. J.T. Barrett is completing 67.1 percent of his passes for 650 yards, 10 touchdowns and one interception. Barrett has 11 touchdown passes in his last four games. Curtis Samuel and Noah Brown have combined for 393 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while Dontre Wilson has eight receptions. The Ohio State Buckeyes ground game is averaging 306 yards per contest, and Mike Weber leads the way with 351 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, Ohio State is allowing 12.3 points and 278.3 yards per game. Raekwon McMillan leads the Buckeyes with 20 tackles, Sam Hubbard has 1.5 sacks and Malik Hooker has three interceptions.
The Scarlet Knights are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 conference games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall. The Buckeyes are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games following a bye week and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
This is a ton of points to lay, especially for a Rutgers team that's played improved football, which includes losing by just one touchdown to Iowa last week. However, Ohio State has had two weeks to prepare and rest for this game, and the Buckeyes have outscored the Scarlet Knights 105-24 in the last two contests. So, while the number is massive and I hate laying big chalk, the Buckeyes should be able to cover it if they want to play four full quarters.
Expect a blowout.
