The Houston Baptist Huskies and Western Kentucky Hilltoppers square off Saturday night at L.T. Smith Stadium.
The Houston Baptist Huskies look for their first road victory that would put them a game above a .500 record. Tony Dawson is completing 50.4 percent of his passes for 669 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions. Dawson must be a bigger difference maker through the air in this contest. Isaiah Hall and Wesley Lewis have combined for 376 receiving yards and one touchdown while Ricardo Barnett has 10 receptions. The Houston Baptist Huskies ground game is averaging 178 yards per contest, and Terrance Peters leads the way with 372 yards and four touchdowns. Defensively, Houston Baptist is allowing 38 points and 459 yards per game. Garrett Dolan leads the Huskies with 52 tackles, Dorrin Turner has one sack and Derek Broussard has four pass deflections.

The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers could also use a victory after a shaky 2-2 start to the season. Mike White is completing 61.3 percent of his passes for 1,142 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions. White has moved the chains 43 times through the air this season. Taywan Taylor and Nicholas Norris have combined for 855 receiving yards and four touchdowns while Nacarius Fant has 10 receptions. The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers ground game is averaging 115.2 yards per contest, and Anthony Wales leads the way with 254 yards and four touchdowns. Defensively, WKU is allowing 26.8 points and 394.8 yards per game. Keith Brown leads the Hilltoppers with 37 tackles, Joel Iyiegbuniwe has 3.5 sacks and AJ Jackson has one interception.
This is one of those games where Western Kentucky should really let loose on the offensive end and put up a big number. Houston Baptist is not a good FCS team and has allowed 50-plus points in both of its losses this season. In fact, the Huskies have allowed 30 or more points in five of their last seven games. WKU should have a field day in this contest and will come close to topping this total by itself.
I like the over in this contest.
