Florida vs. LSU - 10/8/16 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The LSU Tigers are 3-2 this season and are trying to make a run after starting the season slow. The LSU offense is averaging 25.2 points and 398.4 yards per game and they have turned the ball over 7 times. Tigers QB Danny Etling has completed 58.4 percent of his passes with 3 touchdowns and 1 interception. Derrius Guice has rushed for 402 yards and 4 touchdowns for the Tigers and Leonard Fournette has rushed for 386 yards and 2 touchdowns while Travin Dural leads LSU with 18 catches with a touchdown and Malachi Dupre has 15 catches. The LSU defense is allowing 14.8 points and 326 yards per game with 4 interceptions, 3 fumble recoveries, and 16 sacks. Kendell Beckwith is LSU’s top tackler with 45, Jamal Adams has 34 tackles, and Duke Riley has 33 tackles. LSU has just one of their losses in the SEC so there is plenty of time to save their season but it would need a win here.

Florida is 1-4 against the spread following a win, 1-5 against the spread in their last 6 games, and 7-3 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the point spread. LSU is 1-4 against the spread in their last 5 road games, 2-5 against the spread in their last 7 SEC games, and 5-11 against the spread following a win by 20 or more points. The home team has covered the point spread in four of the last 5 meetings of these two teams.

The line for this one still looks to be sketchy meaning it is really just coming oout but LSU appears be a mild road favorite. This one should be a defensive show with both units well ahead of the offenses and I see the under being the best play on the board in this game that really could go either way as far as the winner.
