UK QB Stephen Johnson has completed 63.6 percent of his passes with 3 touchdowns and 1 interception. Kentucky vs. Vanderbilt - 10/8/16 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The Vanderbilt Commodores are 2-3 this season and are coming off of a tough hard fought loss at Florida.  The Vandy offense is averaging 20.2 points and 303 yards per game and they have turned the ball over 6 times. Commodores QB Kyle Shurmur has completed 51.5 percent of his passes with 3 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. Ralph Webb anchors Vanderbilt’s rushing attack with 582 yards and 5 touchdowns while Kalijja Lipscomb has 14 catches and 2 touchdowns and C.J. Duncan has 12 catches. The Vandy defense is allowing 23.6 points and 409.2 yards per game with 3 interceptions, 6 fumble recoveries, and 5 sacks. Zach Cunningham leads the Vandy defense with 52 tackles, LaDarius Wiley has 33 tackles, and Torren McGaster has 28 tackles. Like their opponent a win would go a long way towards making a bowl game as wins will be tough to come by going forward.

Kentucky is 3-9 in their last 12 home games, 7-19 against the spread following a game that they covered the point spread, and 1-5 against the spread against a team with a losing record. Vanderbilt is 6-1 against the spread following a loss, 15-7 against the spread in their last 22 road games, and 1-4 against the spread on grass. The favorite has covered the point spread in 6 of the last 7 meetings of these two teams.

I am less than sold on Kentucky and I see Vanderbilt as the better team here and behind the running of Webb and a solid defense I see the Commodores walking out with a win.
