The Line: Texas Longhorns +10 -- Over/Under: 72 See the Latest Odds

TV: FS1

The Texas Longhorns slug it out with the rival Oklahoma Sooners in week six action.

The Texas Longhorns have struggled defensively with 99 points allowed in back to back defeats following a 49-31 defeat at Oklahoma State that evened their record at 2-2. This was an offense lovers dream with both teams combining for over 1,100 yards. The Horns were more balanced but that didn’t matter even though they were highly effective on the ground with D’Onta Foreman totaling 148 yards with a pair of trips to the endzone on 17 totes while Chris Warren III carried the ball ten times for 106 yards. OU quarterback Shane Buechele hit 21-33 for 239 yards and a touchdown and interception with eleven players recording receptions.

Oklahoma Sooners vs. Texas Longhorns - 10/8/16 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The Oklahoma Sooners haven’t exactly been brick walls on the defensive side of the ball and have leaned heavily on their scoring. The Sooners come off a 52-46 victory at TCU to bring their record to 2-2 where they nearly squandered a 49-24 lead. Both teams combined for over 1,000 yards with OU able to run and throw equally well with the Horned Frogs being a pass only squad. Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield went  23-30 for 274 yards and a pair of touchdowns with receiver of choice Dede Westbrook catching seven passes for 158 yards including 40 yard and 67 yard TD’s. Joe Mixon and Samaje Perine were the stars of the Sooners rushing attack with 203 combined yards and three scores on 33 touches.

The under is 7-0 in Texas last 7 games on grass and the over is 4-0 in Texas last 4 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game while the under is 8-1 in Texas last 9 games after allowing more than 40 points in their previous game. The over is 4-0 in Oklahoma’s last 4 games after allowing less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game and Oklahoma  are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 neutral site games while Oklahoma  are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games in October. The over is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings in Oklahoma and Texas  are 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 meetings.

I’m going with Oklahoma and their offense because Foreman is banged up and Warren is out for the year so in my thinking the Longhorns are losing some weapons even though neither team is trustworthy in my opinion…
