The Miami Hurricanes hope to bounce back from a rough loss to the Florida State Seminoles. The Miami Hurricanes have won four of their last five home games. Brad Kaaya is completing 64.6 percent of his passes for 1,149 yards, 10 touchdowns and four interceptions. Kaaya has six touchdown passes in his last three games. Ahmmon Richards and Stacy Coley have combined for 595 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while David Njoku has 10 receptions. The Miami Hurricanes ground game is averaging 198.4 yards per contest, and Mark Walton leads the way with 484 yards and eight touchdowns. Defensively, Miami is allowing 12.8 points and 283.6 yards per game. Rayshawn Jenkins leads the Miami Hurricanes with 26 tackles, Joe Jackson has 3.5 sacks and Adrian Colbert has one interception.
The Tar Heels are 9-4 ATS vs. a team with a winning record and 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games in October. The Hurricanes are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a straight up loss and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Tar Heels are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings in Miami and the underdog is 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 meetings.
I'm not going to lay a touchdown given the way the Miami Hurricanes couldn't do anything in the second half against FSU, and Kaaya has a banged up shoulder. I'm also not taking the touchdown with the way UNC plays defense. Instead, I'm going to side with the over in this matchup. The last two meetings between Miami and North Carolina produced a combined 147 points and the over is 4-1 in UNC's last five road games. Not to mention the Tar Heels get Hood back on the field after he missed last week with a concussion.
Give me the over in a game that will produce a ton of points.
