The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs look for a road win in Saturday college football action at the Florida International Golden Panthers.
The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs played a few tough teams early on but have suddenly caught fire after their one sided 56-28 rout of visiting Massachusetts as a 19 point favorite. This was a case of the Bulldogs moving the ball through a devastating passing attack leading to almost 700 yards of offense while the Minutemen were held to 399. Jarred Craft and Boston Scott paced La Tech on the ground with 190 yards on 23 carries but it was the air game that took center stage. Louisiana Tech quarterback Ryan Higgins was unstoppable, throwing for 484 yards and five touchdowns and an interception with top target Carlos Henderson totaling 12 catches for 326 yards and five TD’s while Trent Taylor catching nine passes for 126 yards.

The Florida International Golden Panthers struggled early in 2016 but have discovered some offense in racking up three consecutive victories. The Golden Panthers come off a 27-26 decision at Charlotte despite the 49ers winning the yardage war 403-354 with each team committing three turnovers. FIU had next to nothing coming from their rushing attack but their passing attack was more then adequate. Golden Panthers quarterback Alex McGough connected on 26-42 for 315 yards and a pair of touchdowns and two interceptions. Thomas Owens Panthers was the top receiving option with eleven receptions for 148 yards as McGough stretched the field a bit.
The over is 4-0 in Louisiana Tech last 4 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game and the over is 4-0 in Louisiana Tech last 4 games following a straight up win while the over is 5-1 in Louisiana Tech last 6 games overall. FIU are 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 games on fieldturf and the over is 10-2-1 in FIU last 13 home games while the over is 9-2 in FIU last 11 games following a ATS loss.
Florida International is playing their best football and so is Louisiana Tech but I believe the potential is with the Bulldogs offense…
