Air Force vs. Boise State - 11/25/16 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The Air Force Falcons won their 4th straight game and improved to 8-3 (4-3 AAC) on the season after defeating the San Jose State Spartans, 41-38, this past Saturday. In a back and forth game, the Falcons pulled out the victory after a 22-yard TD catch by Jalen Robinette gave Air Force the lead with just 32 seconds left in the game. Air Force outgained San Jose State by a 491-457 margin and won the turnover battle by a 3-2 margin. Leading the way for the Falcons was QB Arion Worthman who rushed for 215 yards and 2 TD’s while completing 3 of 6 passes for a TD and an INT. On the season, Air Force is averaging 35.0 ppg on 459.9 total yards per game (136.4 passing, 323.5 rushing). Offensively, Air Force is led by their 4th ranked rushing attack. Leading the Flacons rushing attack has been RB Jacobi Owens (10.3 att/g, 67.0 yds/g, 3 TD), RB Timothy McVey (6.6 att/g, 55.1 yds/g, 10 TD), QB Arion Worthman (13.8 att/g, 87.2 yds/g, 6 TD), and RB D.J. Johnson (12.6 att/g, 54.4 yds/g, TD). QB Arion Worthman, who has recently replaced QB Nate Romine, has completed 13 of 24 passes for 294 yards, 3 TD and 2 INT. Jalen Robinette who had 5 TD’s and is averaging 71.8 yds/g on 2.7 rec/g is the leading receiver for the Falcons.

The Broncos are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 road games however, the Broncos are just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Falcons are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games home games vs. a team with a winning road record however, just 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games overall.

Boise State must be disappointed that SDSU didn’t take care of business against Wyoming, as now the Boise State must need a win and a Wyoming loss to make it to Mountain West championship game against SDSU. Air Force has been solid in their last 3 games putting up an average of 40.3 ppg however, have had trouble on the defensive end as they are allowing their opponents to average 32.0 ppg in that 3-game span. Air Force has a great rushing attack, but the Broncos have much more talent on the both sides of the field and as the Broncos need a win to keep their MW Championship hopes alive, I think Boise State comes out strong in this one and wins this by double-digits.
