The Duke Blue Devils look to get back in the win column when they take the floor with the Florida Atlantic Owls.
Florida Atlantic is not saddled with high expectations from outside of the program because the team lacks experience and most probably don't know what this team is capable of. The Owls have a few familiar faces but the shots weren't falling in a 59-57 loss to St Francis (NY) and fell to 1-1 in the early going in a very winnable contest. The defense fared well with the Terriers finishing at 39.6% from the field while committing 17 giveaways. The offense was a different story with 34.6% shooting and 15 turnovers. Dragan Sekelja was the ony FAU player to crack double digits with a game high 21 points with 12 rebounds and five assists while the duo of Pablo Bertone and D'Andre Johnson added 17 points.

It seems as if Duke is always a threat to win the National Championship along with the ACC title and 2013-14 doesn't look any different. The season got off to a great start with the Blue Devils hammering Davidson 111-77 but Kansas turned the tables on them with a 94-83 win as Duke fell apart in the final minutes in a game that was hotly contested throughout. The Blue Devils connected at 51.7% but their defense was rattled by the Jayhawks 56% marksmanship. KU held a +15 edge on the galss and were out scored 27-16 at the charity stripe which are areas this team generally fares well in. Jabari Parker was outstanding in his debut with 27 points and nine boards with Amile Jefferson tossing in 17 while the trio of Rasheed Sulaimon, Rodney Hood and Quinn Cook combined for 34 points.
Titanic spread and this comes down to whether Duke wants to press the issue after the loss to Kansas or not. I won't touch either team to be honest...
