The UConn Huskies and the Boston University Terriers face off on Sunday in College Basketball action.
The UConn Huskies miss the NCAA Tournament last season due to academic reasons but this year they are loaded as they look to return to March Madness. UConn opened the season with a one-point win over Maryland and then beat Yale by 18 before blowing Detroit out by 46 points. Omar Calhoun is UConn’s leading scorer averaging 15 points per game. Niels Giffey is averaging 14.3 points and 4.0 rebounds, Shabazz Napier is averaging 14 points and 8.7 rebounds, and Ryan Boatright is averaging 11.7 points and 5 assists. Connecticut is averaging 86.3 points per game while they are shooting 55.2 percent, 54.2 percent from beyond the three-point arc, and they are shooting 70.3 percent from the free throw line.

The Boston University Terriers are off to a 2-0 start as the look to find their way into the NCAA Tournament. BU started their season with a win over Northeastern by three points and then pounded UMass-Lowell by 26 points. Dom Morris is Boston University’s leading scorer averaging 19.5 points and seven rebounds. Maurice Watson Jr. is averaging 17 points and 6.0 rebounds, Cedric Hankerson is averaging 9 points, and John Papale is averaging 8.5 points. Boston U is averaging 81.5 points per game and they are shooting 48.4 percent from the floor, 29.5 percent from beyond the three-point arc, and they are shooting 84.8 percent from the free throw line.
UConn is 4-0 against the spread following a win, 5-1 against the spread in their last six home games, and 7-2 against the spread in their last nine games overall. Boston University is 5-2-1 against the spread in their last eight road games against a team with a inning record, 2-5 against the spread in their last seven non-conference games, and 1-4 against the spread against a team with a winning record.
This is a lot of points but UConn relies heavily on their outside shooting so it is always risky to take them and this is too many points for my liking.
