The Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Memphis Tigers face off on Tuesday in college basketball action in the Old Spice Classic.
The Oklahoma State Cowboys are ranked 8th in the nation and they have opened the season with high expectations and three blowout wins. OSU has yet to be tested but with this game followed by games against Purdue, Colorado and more and then a brutal Big 12 schedule the Cowboys will face their share of tests this season. Phil Forte leads Oklahoma State in scoring averaging 21 points per game. Markel Brown is averaging 15.3 points, Le’ Bryan Nash is averaging 13.7 points and 6.3 rebounds, and Marcus Smart is averaging 13.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 4 steals per game. Oklahoma State is averaging 102.3 points per game shooting 53.2 percent from the floor, 45.6 percent from beyond the three-point arc, and 70.2 percent from the free throw line. Oklahoma State looks like they will a handful this season.

The Memphis Tigers are the 13th ranked team in the nation but this is just their second game this season. Memphis always plays a difficult schedule but this appears to be one of the tougher games on the board for them. In the First game Joe Jackson led the way scoring 16 points with three rebounds and seven assists. Michael Dixon Jr. has 15 points, four rebounds and four steals, Gerin Johnson scored 11 points and had 10 rebounds, Chris Crawford scored 11 points and had eight rebounds, four assists, and four steals and Shaq Goodwin scored 10 points. Memphis scored 95 points and shot 53.6 percent form the floor, 30.8 percent from beyond the three-point arc, and they shot 70.8 percent from the free throw line allowing 69 points on 46 percent shooting. Memphis is a tremendously athletic team.
Oklahoma State is 7-3-1 against the spread in their last 11 non-conference games, 1-4-1 against the spread in their last six games overall, and 1-6-1 against the spread in their last eight home games. Memphis is 5-2 against the spread in their last seven non-conference games, 1-4 against the spread in their last five road games, and 5-1 against the spread in their last six games against a team with a winning percentage over .600.
We are getting a lot of points here with a deep and talented Memphis team and I am going to take them though I am thinking outright win.
