Instate rivals the Central Florida Knights take the hardwood with the Miam (FL) Hurricanes.
Central Florida brings a 2-1 record in to their fourth game of the young season with both wins coming against weak competition with the loss coming at the hands of Florida State. The Knights proved to be too much for Bethune-Cookman in an 83-63 rout who proved to be the perfect team to rebound against after the Seminoles defeat. UCF didn't burn down the nets with 44% marksmanship but the Wildcats checked in at just 39% and were killed on the glass 49-19 which led to ten more Central Florida shots which were put to good use. Isaiah Sykes was easily the all every thing man with a game high 22 points with eight pulls and eight helpers while Calvin Newell tossed in 18 points followed by a 16 point, nine rebound effort from Tristan Spurlock.

Miami (FL) might be in rebuilding mode with the amount of talent lost from a season ago. The missing production was obvious in a season opening defeat to St Francis (NY) and an 81-80 victory over Georgia Southern who aren't big names. Miami connected at 51% from the field with the Cougars hitting at 45.5% which was close enough for a competitive contest but it wasn't because the Canes mustered nine more shots and sank nine more shots. James Kelly tossed in 18 points to pace the attack with Rion Brown adding 15 and Manu Lecomte totaling 14 points and five assists.
Nether team figures to be a factor in their respective divisions with the talent that was lost. According to the numbers this game is fairly close on paper but the wins for each have come against lesser lights so assuming both are close I should back the points although my gut says Canes...
