The Missouri Tigers and the Northwestern Wildcats face off on Thursday Night in Las Vegas in college basketball action.
The Missouri Tigers are off to a 5-0 start to the season as they look to bounce back from last season’s early exit from the NCAA Tournament. Missouri has a new look but they have talent and like last season it is a matter of it Frank Haith is capable of coaching them to the next level. Jabari Brown is averaging 19.2 points and 4.8 rebounds to lead the Tigers. Jordan Clarkson is averaging 18.8 points, Earnest Ross is averaging 12.2 points and 5.8 rebounds, and Jonathan Williams III is averaging 7.4 points and 9.2 rebounds. Missouri is averaging 80.6 points and they are shooting 50.5 percent while defensively they are allowing 63.8 points and their opponents are shooting 39.3 percent. Frank Haith returns from his suspension just in time for this one.

The Northwestern Wildcats have dropped two games this season as they look for their first NCAA Tournament appearance. Northwestern has played the 3-1st ranked schedule but it looks like it can get down to 15th if things play out as projected. Drew Crawford is averaging 16.3 points and 8.0 rebounds to lead the Cats as he returns from injury. JerShon Cobb is averaging 12.8 points and 5.0 rebounds, Dave Sobelewski is averaging 10.8 points, and Tre Demps is averaging 8.5 points. Northwestern is averaging 70.3 points and they are shooting 45.4 percent while defensively they are allowing 62.2 points and their opponents shoot 38.8 percent. Northwestern has a chance to make up for earlier losses with a win here.
Missouri is 0-4-1 against the spread following a win, 10-4-1 against the spread in their last 15 neutral site games, and 5-1-1 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the point spread. Northwestern is 0-4 against the spread following a game which they didn’t cover the spread and 12-5-1 against the spread in their last 18 neutral site games.
My Free Pick in this game is that it is going to go over the total which is set at 138.5 I have a strong play on who will cover the spread and I will post that in the Premium Area and I will make it available on the App.
